To wrap up the Marine Imaging Workshop in Victoria BC there will be two optional field trips available on Friday, June 28th. The Pacific Marine Circle Route or a snorkeling trip. The Pacific Marine Circle Route is a full day trip (9:00 – 17:00) where you will tour along the west coast of Vancouver Island with stops in some iconic beaches up to Port Renfrew. From Port Renfrew we will drive up to Lake Cowichan on beautiful back roads. The trip will then head back to Victoria on the highway with a potential stop in Duncan depending on time.

The snorkeling trip is a 4 – 4.5hour trip. We will meet at Pearson College at 13:00 and hope on board a boat which will tour us around Race Rocks Ecological Reserve to see some marine wildlife. Next, we will head to a small island on the Westshore for a 60-90minute (or until people are cold) snorkel. Then tea and cookies will be provided while heading back to Person College.

The price for the Marine Circle Route will depend on the number of people who confirm as we have a fixed price for a bus charter. The snorkeling trip is $175 including equipment rental and 20% discount for a group of six or more people. The maximum number of spots available are 12. As a result, these will be assigned on a first come basis. Transport to and from Pearson College is additional, but can be discussed based on the number of people interested.

If you are interested in any of these two options please email Mauricio Carrasquilla (miw2019@oceannetworks.ca) with your trip preference by June 14th, 2019.
